Palimpsest

Spring 2023

A palimpsest shows the evidence of changing stories over time. The document’s first layer is erased, scraped of the remnants to make room for new use. But traces still remain, bumps and shadows that point to an accumulating history. We’re thinking about our own evolutions and redefinitions, how the layers build upon each other. What traces underlie our newest form? How do these stories intersect with the times, places, and people that surround us?.
